Sometimes you just have to be ballsy and do something that absolutely scares you to death. I used to be afraid of stuffing up… making mistakes… making a fool of myself. I’m a born perfectionist. I used to strive for perfection in all areas of life. And it sucked. My perfectionist tendencies stopped me from getting my stuff out there. And from being human, likeable, lovable .. Today I see perfectionism as a form of arrogance.
Because it satisfies the ego, nothing else.
Let’s face it. No one likes the gal or guy who seems to know everything. No one wants to be friends with someone who is best at everything.
Showing your faults is attractive. Because it shows you’re human. It’s gutsy because you declare self compassion. And if you want to be loved, then you have to love yourself first. Self compassion demonstrates your acceptance of yourself – irrespective of your faults, annoying personality traits and strange habits.
If you show up unedited you’re giving yourself permission to be ballsy.
And for that I love you even more.
We live in a world where there’s increasing noise. People pretend too much, promise too much, neglect too much, and don’t care enough.
But luckily the times are changing. A new wisdom is taking the world by storm. It’s called authentic marketing.
Being authentic turns you on. It lights your fire and gets you pumping on all systems. It makes you attractive, magnetic, lovable. Be yourself. Show us your gorgeous gifts and just get out there and do it. It will be just fine.
Tell me. How do you feel about perfectionism?
